January


1/01/03 -Happy New Year

1/02/03 - Hunted Sisters middle school Found 8 pennies, 2 dimes, 1 quarter and 2 wheat cents dated 1944s and 1945s. Dug a lot of iffy signals. Ground is not frozen at all.

1/03/03 - Hunted Sisters middle school Found 4 dimes, 1 nickel, 1 quarter, 12 pennies. Dug a lot. I Went home and tested out a 4" deep penny (newly planted) and got a fairly loud reponse but it was broken and only good from certain angles. Got no response on a 4" or 5" quarter. Tested on a 4" dime and got a broken popping signal. Also got a popping signal on a 5" penny. I need more depth.

1/04/03 - Hunted Sisters middle school Found $1.28 in clad, an earing, a set of keys, a button and a pipe fitting. I was Hoping to find some silver but no luck.

01/05/03 - Hunted Sisters high school Found 68 cents.



Using a radio shack Discovery 2000 detector from here on.

1/18/03 - Hunted the small soccer field at the school. Found 61 cents. My new detector did pretty good but I need practice on it.

1/19/03 - Hunted Black butte ranch around the vollyball court. Found 26 cents.

1/19/03 - Hunted a Vacant lot in Sisters. Found 12 cents and a 1947 silver dime. Also found a metal tag with a blue "58". Loads of trash signals to avoid might go back with a 4" coil.

1/21/03 - Hunted a Vacant lot behind subway in Sisters. Found 10 cents. The idea was to dig everything I could get to repeat that might be a deep coin. Unfortunatly this is a very trashy lot and I dug about 15 holes but no coins. The dime I found was under debris on the surface.

1/25/03 - Hunted Sisters middle school Found two quarters. Looking for silver I dug several iffy signals finding two bolts and the top of a pen and a nail.

1/26/03 - Hunted Sisters elementary school Found $1.82 in change and a wheat penny.

1/27/03 - Hunted a Vacant lot in Sisters. Went back to the lot behind subway with my 4" coil and found 6 pennies in an area I had searched before with the 8" coil. I wish the 4" went deeper.

1/28/03 - Hunted old flea market in Milliken. Found 1 penny.

1/28/03 - Hunted the Vacant lot behind subway. Found six pennies. Used the 8" then went back over it with the 4" coil.

1/29/03 - Hunted Lot next to Highway 20 between Sisters and Bend. Found 38 cents.

1/29/03 - Hunted Vollyball court in Tollgate. Found $1.07 in coins and nothing else.

1/30/03 - Hunted Lawn area in Tollgate. Found 80 cents & 1 pulltab.

1/30/03 - Hunted Lawn area in Tollgate. Found $1.18 & 3 pulltabs. Also found a small pipe fitting.



February

2/01/03 - Hunted Sisters elementary Found 86 cents and one wheat penny. Also found two mangled quarters. Did the soccer field sideline.

2/04/03 - Hunted Cline falls Swimming area. Found a couple screw caps and a couple aluminum cans.

2/04/03 - Hunted The village green park. Found 23 cents.

2/20/03 - Hunted Lawn area next to figaro's. Found $1.35 and a 1943 Australian penny. Also found two flattened pennies stamped with "I love you" Sisters Oregon.

2/21/03 - Hunted the Lawn area across the street from Fotos in a flash. Found 87 cents. Hoped to find some jewelry but no luck.

Resume use of White's with new modifications.

  • 2/22/03 - Hunted Sisters middle school. Found 42 cents.

    2/25/03 - Hunted Stryker field and Ochoco creek park both in Prineville. Did some very casual detecting for a short time, hunted with my mother and Shirly. Found 82 cents. Found a deep nickel at about five inches but it was only a 1971 date.

    March

    3/03/03 - Hunted Lawn area in Tollgate. Found 39 cents. Helped Ken the grounds keeper find the septic tank.

    3/08/03 - Hunted Sisters elementary school Found 64 cents. Helped look for a water line, wasn't able to find it. Detector was falsing too much.

    3/09/03 - Hunted Sisters elementary school Found 94 cents. Nine dimes four pennies. Found one mangled dime. Also found a small "sneak-a-toke" marijuana pipe.

    3/15/03 - Hunted Sisters elementary school Found 2 dimes and a Mr. T Lottery pin.

    3/16/03 - Hunted Sisters high school Found $1.15

    3/18/03 - Hunted Lawn area in Sisters. Found 37 cents.

    3/23/03 - Hunted Sisters high school Found 68 cents and a drilled quarter with a del monte sticker on it. Also found an earing and a 2002 pendant.

    3/29/03 - Hunted Vacant lot in Sisters. Found 32 cents and a gold coin with a panda on it. Also found a 1944 D penny.

    3/30/03 - Hunted Vacant lot Found 76 cents. Also found a toy car. Unfortunatly there were not any more gold pieces laying around.


    April

    4/05/03 - Hunted Redmond High Did a section of the front lawn area. Found 79 cents. Also found 1 mangled quarter.

    4/06/03 - Hunted Sisters High Found 22 cents. Also found a mangled penny and a mangled dime. Hunted around the front lawns.

    4/13/03 - Hunted Sisters High Found $1.06 Did around the sidelines.

    4/19/03 - Hunted Sisters Elementary Found $1.51 and a heart shaped pendant.

    4/20/03 - Hunted Sisters High school Soccer field Found 4 cents. Hunted The Village green park Found 24 cents.

    4/27/03 - Hunted Creekside city park Found 37 cents.

    7/22/03 - Hunted Sisters elementary school Found a quarter, 100 degree temperature.

    August

    8/10/03 - Hunted Lawn area inside the pool area at Tollgate. Found $2.18 and a small silver ring.

    8/17/03 - Hunted Lawn area inside the pool area at Tollgate. Found 87 cents and a silver ring.

    8/30/03 - Hunted Lawn area inside the pool area at Tollgate. Found 23 pennies and 2 cheap earrings.

  • 8/30/03 - Hunted Crossroads playground in Crossroads. Found 41 cents, a metal ball, a key and a sterling coral and turquoise ring.

    8/31/03 - Hunted Tollgate lawn, Ski inn lawn, The Palace driveway. Found $1.81 and a peephole lens. Helped pick up nails behind the Palace.

    9/16/03 - Hunted Fiesta RV park Space 41 and 42 (I think). Found $1.80 and nothing else.
