This lovely collector's cabochon shows the classic multi-colored browns and blue-grays of Central Oregon's old "blue" Deschutes Picture Jasper. In addition, the deep mauve classifies it as a "Pink Deschutes" also. The pink is the rarest of all the Deschutes Jasper and this cab is very rare! The wonderful black dendrites add to the many pictures that are found in this display cabochon. Oregon is world famous for the incredible picture jasper that has been found here, and the Deschutes River that runs through Central Oregon is the inspiritation for the name of this jasper. This stone has rightly earned it's excellent reputation as a premier collecting material! Whether you are a collector, or a jeweler wishing a unique piece, this one is not to be missed!
This cab measures approx. 50mm x 32mm x 5mm and weighs approx. 61 cts. and comes with the display stand shown.
