This small miniture specimen of crystal core Virgin Valley Opal has never been kept in water and is completely natural. Recovered in 2004 and set aside to stabilize naturally this is as rare as it gets. The opal from the Virgin Valley, Nevada USA is almost always kept in water to prevent crumbling due to the extremely high water content in this opal. This piece is proof that with care, and lots of patience, you can allow this opal to dry slowly over time. The photos were taken dry. This is a cabinet specimen that any collector would be proud to own!
The specimen mesures 3.1cm x 2cm x 2.1cm and weighs 63.5cts.
